Mini-Circuits to Sponsor First-Ever EDI CON Online
August 26, 2019 -– Mini-Circuits, a global leader in radio frequency (RF) and microwave components and integrated assemblies for commercial, industrial and military applications, is proud to be a platinum sponsor of the Electronic Design Innovation Conference and Exhibition (EDI CON) Online September 10 – 12, 2019.
EDI CON Online is a free virtual conference covering a wide range of industry topics, from RF and microwave to EMC/EMI. Formerly an in-person event, this is the first year the conference will be hosted entirely online. According to the event press release, the new virtual format will allow high-frequency and high-speed design engineers to receive the "quality, relevant, real-time training" EDI CON offers without having to leave the office.
As a platinum sponsor, Mini-Circuits will have a significant presence at the event, with several of our team members and partners leading workshops and engaging in speaking opportunities.
Aaron Vaisman, LTCC Product Line Manager for Mini-Circuits, will be leading two workshops focusing on advancements in LTCC design:
-
The Journey to LTCC Components for Millimeter Wave Applications
Sept. 10, 11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET
Exploring how advances in material science, circuit topologies, material characterization and simulation tools have overcome traditional LTCC technology constraints. -
Millimeter Wave LTCC Components Today
Sept. 10, 1:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. ET
Presenting new designs and test results for LTCC components supporting applications into the millimeter wave bands, including substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) filters, distributed filters, transformers and more.
Damian Hoffman, System Engineering Team Lead for Vayyar Imaging, a strategic partner of Mini-Circuits, will be delivering an interactive workshop on millimeter wave evaluation:
-
MMW Projects with the IMAGEVK Evaluation Kit
Sept. 11, 1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. ET
Demonstration of the new 3D millimeter wave imaging and sensing evaluation kit from Mini-Circuits and deep dive into novel applications.
Ovi Jacob, Director of Business Development for Vayyar, will be delivering a keynote speech on the past, present and future of radar.
-
Democratization of Radar
Sept. 11, 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. ET
Tracing the evolution of modern radar from military tool to open, commercialized technology and exploring what's on the horizon.
Mini-Circuits looks forward to joining the global community of RF and microwave engineers at EDI CON Online and participating in important discussions on key trends influencing the state of the industry. For more information on EDI CON Online, or to register for free, visit www.edicononline.com.
About EDI CON
EDI CON uniquely brings together RF, microwave, EMC/EMI, and high-speed digital design engineers and system integrators for networking, training, and learning opportunities. Attendees come to EDI CON to find solutions, products,
and design ideas that they can put into immediate practice for today's communication, defense, consumer electronics, aerospace, and medical industries. Drawing attendees from both the analog and digital spheres, EDI CON enables
designers to see techniques and technologies used in other applications that could be applied or adapted to solve their latest design challenges. At EDI CON CHINA, the exhibition hall features product displays, demonstrations,
interactive sessions, speed trainings, networking opportunities, and educational talks that address all aspects of design, simulation, test, and verification.
EDI CON Online brings this same type of learning directly to engineers' desktops. More information at www.edicononline.com.
About the Organizers
EDI CON is organized by Microwave Journal, the Signal Integrity Journal, and the event planning division of their parent company, Horizon House. Microwave Journal, Signal Integrity Journal, and Horizon House also team with Microwave
Journal China and ACT International (Hong Kong) to organize and produce EDI CON China (March 24-26, 2020 in Beijing). An experienced and well-established organizer of targeted events, Horizon House additionally organizes European Microwave Week (EuMW)
on behalf of the European Microwave Association (EuMA). To subscribe to Signal Integrity Journal,
