FREE Modelithics High-Accuracy Simulation Models
Gain design confidence with superior simulation capabilities.
Mini-Circuits has partnered with modeling and measurement experts at Modelithics® to extend to you FREE high-accuracy simulation models for Mini-Circuits components compatible with Keysight PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS). The models include X-Parameters®-based nonlinear models for Mini-Circuits MMIC amplifiers and substrate scalable models for our LTCC filters and RCAT- and YAT-series fixed attenuators. Additional models available include S-parameter data models for reflectionless filters, amplifiers, splitters, and more.
In addition, FREE 3D geometry models are also available for Ansys® HFSS™ for various lowpass and highpass LTCC filters. 3D models capture component behavior and interaction with other circuitry.
The Modelithics COMPLETE Library gives designers a valuable resource for their tool kit, and Mini-Circuits is pleased to sponsor these simulation models as part of our commitment to provide best-in-class support for customers using our parts in their prototypes. This enhanced simulation capability helps achieve faster agreement between simulation and measured performance, permitting faster design cycles, lower design cost, and greater likelihood of first pass success.
Download the models for free from the Mini-Circuits partner page on the Modelithics website.

Model-Based Optimization Outperforms LNA Datasheet Specifications
Microwave Journal Featured Article
It is possible in certain instances to improve the performance of a design that uses a MMIC low noise amplifier (LNA), using the same concepts for discrete transistor LNA designs. In this article, a design using a MMIC LNA is optimized over a 5G frequency band to achieve a lower noise figure than specified on the device datasheet.
Simulating Modelithics X-Parameter Amplifier Models in a Keysight Genesys Design Environment
Microwave Product Digest Featured Article
This article provides an overview of X-Parameters-based amplifier models using the Modelithics™ system-level component (SLC) Library in the Keysight Genesys circuit design environment. S-parameter, noise, and harmonic-balance simulations are presented. Table 1 lists X-Parameter models currently available for use in Keysight Genesys. The table here for Genesys reveals fewer models. However, the same basic capabilities and theory described in Reference 1 also apply in Genesys. An example workspace is featured to demonstrate how an X-Parameter model can be used in a Genesys project.
